A Passive PoE injector always delivers the same voltage as its power source. This injector comes with a 48v UL approved power supply to provide direct voltage to your IEEE 802.3af/at device.

Compatible with IEEE 802.3af with Mode A Negotiation. This midspan meets the IEEE standard negotiation using pins 1,2 / 3,6 to deliver PoE power to your device.

An active PoE injector negotiates with the powered device to deliver the voltage needed, so there are no concerns about accidentally burning out lower powered or non-PoE devices. Power is only added to the data cable when an 802.3af or 802.3at device is connected.
