Cisco's SD-WAN vEdge Routers are routing components of the architecture that delivers the essential WAN, security and multi-cloud capability of the Cisco SD-WAN solution.

Cisco SD-WAN vEdge routers are delivered as hardware, software, cloud or virtualized components that sit at the perimeter of a site, such as remote office, branch office, campus, or a data center. They participate in establishing a secure virtual overlay network over a mix of any WAN transports.

Cisco's SD-WAN Routers deliver comprehensive WAN gateway and network services function for both traditional routing and SDWAN deployments.

The Cisco® MWR 2941-DC Mobile Wireless Router sets the standard for cell-site investment protection of Radio Access Network (RAN) backhaul for multiple generations of radio and media technology. By using the Cisco MWR 2941-DC, operators can simplify and converge their current RANs with a compact, highperformance, and modular cell-site access platform, reducing operating costs and enhancing profit opportunities.

RAN cell sites are places of transformation between mobile radio and mobile transport networks. Cost-effective RAN backhaul requires the ability to simultaneously aggregrate the transport of traffic from both legacy and newgeneration radios for specific and multiple transport options available at the cell site. The Cisco MWR 2941-DC is designed to optimize this radio-to-transport transformation and provide scalable interfaces for existing radios and transport networks as well as the new generation of 4G radios, microwave, and IP RAN transport networks.

The Cisco 819 Integrated Services Routers support the latest Third-Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) Release 8 LTE standards for 4G LTE. They provide persistent, reliable LTE connectivity with fallback and transparent handoff to earlier technologies. The Cisco 819 Routers have the following variants:

• C819HG-4G-V-K9 and C819G-4G-V-K9: Dedicated multimode LTE for Verizon Wireless networks (700-MHz B13); the multimode C819 is backward-compatible with code division multiple access (CDMA) 1x/ EV-DO Rev A: 800 and 1900 MHz
• C819HG-4G-A-K9 and C819G-4G-A-K9: Multimode LTE for AT&T (700MHz B17); multimode C819 is backward-compatible with Universal Mobile Telecommunications Service (UMTS), high-speed packet access plus (HSPA+): 850, 1900, and 2100 MHz
• C819HG-4G-G-K9 and C819G-4G-G-K9*: Multimode LTE for carriers that operate LTE 800-MHz, 900-, 1800-, 2100-, or 2600-MHz networks; the multimode C819 is backward-compatible with UMTS and HSPA+: 900 and 2100 MHz

Cisco 890 Series Routers deliver high performance with integrated security and threat defense. Network security has become a fundamental building block of any network, and Cisco routers play an important role in embedding security at the customer's access edge. Cisco recognizes this requirement, so Cisco 890 Series Routers are equipped with security hardware acceleration and Cisco IOS Software (by default, a universal image with Advanced IP Services feature license). This Cisco IOS Software feature set facilitates hardware-based IPsec encryption on the motherboard and provides a robust array of security capabilities such as Cisco IOS Firewall, Cisco ScanSafe Connector, IPS support, IPsec VPNs (DES, 3DES, and AES), SSL VPN, tunnel-less Group Encrypted Transport VPN, DMVPN, Easy VPN server and client support, Secure Shell (SSH) Protocol Version 2.0, and Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) in one solution set.
