The CatLinc VGA allows VGA connection between two devices utilizing CAT5, CAT5e, or CAT6 unshielded twisted pair cable (UTP). Shielded twisted pair cable may also be used. The CatLinc Transmitter actively buffers and amplifies the source signal, eliminating the need for interfaces or distribution amplifiers often required with VGA signals. The Transmitter and Receiver units have been designed for easy installation and they are among the smallest in the industry. For convenience, system power may be attached at either the Transmitter or Receiver. CatLinc VGA can extend a VGA signal up to maximum of 91m/300ft of standard CAT5 UTP depending on the resolution of the source signal. A single screwdriver adjustment at the Receiver allows fine tuning for best picture detail.
