With limited server room space and rising maintenance costs, network administrators are now more than ever looking for solutions that reduce both costs and space requirements. ATEN LCD KVM Switches offer a space saving, streamlined approach to KVM switching technology by integrating an LCD panel, full keyboard, and touchpad into a 1U rack-mountable sliding housing.

The CL1316 LCD KVM Switch features an integrated 19" LED-backlit LCD panel allowing access and control with up to 16 computers from a single console (keyboard, mouse, and monitor). As many as 16 additional switches can be cascaded bringing the total number of connected computers to 256 computers that can be controlled from a single keyboard-monitor-mouse console.

Setup is fast and easy; plugging cables into their appropriate ports is all that is needed. The switch supports both USB and PS/2 connections for the computers. The CL1316 intercepts keyboard input directly, thus eliminating the need for any software configuration. Switching between computers can be easily accomplished either by manually pressing the front panel push button port LEDs, entering hotkey combinations from the keyboard, or via a menu driven multilingual on-screen display (OSD) system.

The CL5800N Rackmount LCD is a series of KVM console modules featuring an integrated 19" LCD panel, a full size 105 key keyboard, and touch pad in a 1U rack-mounted package. To maximize space in your data center the CL5800N Rackmount LCD and keyboard/touch pad modules slide independently of each other.

The CL5808N Slideaway™ Dual Rail LCD KVM Switch is a control unit that allows access to multiple computers from two PS/2 or USB KVM consoles. An extra console port is provided on the rear panel to manage the LCD KVM switch from an optional external consoles.

The CL5808N 19" LED-backlit LCD monitor and keyboard/touch pad modules slide independently of each other. To maximize space in your data center, the keyboard/touch pad module slides back to "hide away" when not in use, while the thin profile LCD monitor rotates back - flush against the rack - allowing convenient monitoring of computer activity. The CL5808 supports both PS/2 and USB keyboards and mice for the connected computers, and the CL5808 supports USB peripheral devices to be used with the attached computers. A single CL5808 can control up to 8 computers. As many as 31 additional compatible KVM switches can be daisy chained together, so that up to 256 computers can all be controlled from a single keyboard, monitor, and mouse console.

This CATx module provides a KVM extension port that enables a second KVM console to access the switch from 984.5 feet (300 m) away using standard CATx cabling and a ServSwitch™ CX Remote Unit (see Related Items).
