Omnitron's Small Form Pluggable (SFP) and 10 Gigabit SFP+/XFP optical transceivers are interchangeable compact fiber connectors that enable a single network device to connect to a wide variety of fiber optic cable types and distances. CWDM Pluggable Optical Transceivers are used to customize iConverter, FlexPoint, OmniConverter and miConverter products to meet specific networking protocols and media requirements. They support multimode dual fiber, single-mode dual fiber, single-mode single-fiber and Coarse Wave Division Multiplexing (CWDM).

They also enable network upgrades and growth by providing interchangeable fiber and copper connectors that can easily adapt to and modify any existing network. For example, a dual fiber link between two media converters can be split into two single-fiber links to connect another pair of media converters. To accommodate the new fiber configuration, dual fiber optical transceivers in the media converter can easily be replaced with single-fiber optical transceivers.

Based on the MSA SFF-8472 and INF-8077i standards, Omnitron Optical Transceivers support digital diagnostic capabilities, providing enhanced diagnostic information to assist network administrators with network maintenance. When used in iConverter modules managed by SNMP management software, such as NetOutlook®, Omnitron Optical Transceivers can collect enhanced, real time transceiver diagnostic information including fiber optic TX and RX power, voltage and transceiver temperature.

By providing compact physical size and the ease of interchangeability, Omnitron Optical Transceivers provide a cost-effective and flexible solution for network designs.

The iConverter NMM2 provides comprehensive remote monitoring, configuration and alarm notification functions for all iConverter managed media converters and Network Interface Devices (NIDs). Installed in any slot of an iConverter chassis, the NMM2 manages all other modules and power supplies installed in the chassis through a high-speed management backplane. Additionally, all remote NIDs linked to the managed iConverter chassis may be managed by the installed NMM2 through a secure IP-less management channel.

The iConverter 4Tx VT 10/100 managed Ethernet switch module is a member of the iConverter product family. It provides a compact 4-Port 10/100 Ethernet switch that is expandable across the iConverter 19-Module, 5-Module and 2-Module chassis backplanes, as well as being supported as a stand-alone switch with the iConverter 1-Module Chassis.

The iConverter 4Tx VT supports the IEEE 802.1Q and 802.1p standards. It supports the 802.1Q VLAN packet tagging and untagging for segregating data in Enterprise networks, and enabling secure separation of Service Provider network management and customer data to improve security and intrusion protection.
