Control as Many as 16 Computers or Servers from Anywhere in the World

This NetDirector® Cat5e KVM over IP switch provides BIOS-level access to as many as 16 computers and/or servers directly, including blade servers, from a single monitor, USB keyboard and USB mouse (and up to 128 computers indirectly using the cascade option). Dual redundant C14 power inlets (cords are included) keep KVM control intact in case one power supply fails. A Laptop USB Console (LUC) port allows direct connection of a laptop for easy console operation of the B064-016-02-IPH.

Simple Network Control That Gives You More Flexibility

The B064-016-02-IPH eases multi-server management in small to large enterprise data centers, as well as applications with multiple or remote users accessing equipment. Built-in IP capability allows up to three users (one local and two remote) to access the network independently and simultaneously. An optional dial-in connection (modem port) is provided to ensure access in situations when the KVM switch is not available over the primary network. You may also select a connected computer using on-console pushbuttons, GUI (graphical user interface), OSD (on-screen display) or keyboard hotkey commands. An LED per KVM port indicates when a computer is connected to the port, when it is powered on and when it is selected.

High-Resolution On-Screen Display Offers Multi-Language Support

HDMI and VGA ports with high-resolution video up to 1920 x 1200 (at 60 Hz) with 24-bit color depth provide a GUI with management tools, including an event log, auto-scanning and panel array mode. Both ports may be in use at the same time. The OSD may be set to display in English, German, Russian, Japanese, traditional Chinese or simplified Chinese.

Supports Both IPv4 and IPv6 Addresses

The B064-016-02-IPH supports IPv4, Link Local IPv6 Address and IPv6 Stateless Autoconfiguration protocols. You may set the IP address manually or have it automatically assigned via DHCP server (the default method).

Heightened Security for Every Connection

Management software is Java-free to help prevent vulnerabilities. Three levels of pre-defined user access (including fundamental BIOS access) allow you to control who gains access to connected servers/computers. Remote authentication support is provided via RADIUS, LDAP, LDAPS and Active Directory. The B064-016-02-IPH also incorporates advanced encryption technologies: 1024-bit RSA, 56-bit DES, 256-bit AES and 128-bit SSL. It also supports high-grade FIPS 140-2 level 1 security standards that use an embedded FIPS 140-2 certified OpenSSL cryptographic module.

Network-Wide Storage Media Access

Three USB ports are provided on the front panel for use with Virtual Media or USB peripheral devices. Virtual Media capability allows any computer connected to the KVM via a B055-Series server interface unit to access DVD/CD drives, flash drives and other storage media from a remote computer, as if it were directly connected. This allows administrators to perform file transfers, install software and perform diagnostics across a network.

Tripp Lite's 16-port NetDirector Cat5 IP KVM Switch is the optimal solution for remotely controlling multiple computers (combination of PS/2, USB and Serial) by up to 3 (1 Local and 2 Remote) independent, simultaneous users. A single unit occupies a mere 1U of rack space, yet can control up to 16 directly connected computers, and a maximum of 256 computers when a second level of B064-016 KVM switches are cascaded. Critical events on the installation can be tracked via email notification, SNMP traps, the Windows based log server or Syslog server. Virtual Media allows computers connected using a B055-001-USB-V2 Server Interface Unit to access DVD/CD drives, flash drives and other storage media as if they were directly connected to the computer. In addition, three USB ports are located on the front panel of the unit for use with Virtual Media or an external keyboard and mouse. Other features include dual power supplies that allow the unit to continue running in the event one power supply stops receiving power, temperature sensors that control the speed of the unit's cooling fans, remote authentication support via RADIUS, LDAP, LDAPS and Active Directory, dial-in modem access and non-browser access using Windows and Java applications. Preview up to 64 Servers at the Same Time with Panel Array Mode

Panel array mode lets you monitor and manage the video output from as many as 64 connected servers at the same time, all on one HDMI monitor. Connect Storage Media to a Target Server Anywhere on the Network with Virtual Media

The Virtual Media feature allows a removable USB drive on a user's system to appear and act as if it were installed on the remote server. Up to two virtual media choices can be mounted. Once mounted, you can treat the virtual media as if they really exist on the remote server. Drag and drop files to or from them, open files on the remote server for editing and save them to the redirected media. The B064-000-STN features two USB 2.0 ports for peripherals, as well as inputs for a USB keyboard and mouse and two audio jacks.

Designed for Flexible Placement and Installation

Four rubber feet are also included for resting the unit on a flat, level surface, such as a shelf, table or desk. You can also use the included mounting plate to install the console server on a wall or in a space-saving 0U rear-of-the-rack configuration. The B064-000-STN supports hot-plugging, which allows you to connect, disconnect, add or remove components without having to shut down the unit.

The B064-000-STN is designed to work with the following Tripp Lite KVMs: B064-008-01-IPG, B064-016-01-IPG, B064-016-02-IPG, B064-016-04-IPG, B064-032-01-IPG, B064-032-02-IPG, B064-032-04-IPG and B064-064-08-IPG. It supports boundless switching when cascaded with another B064-000-STN console station via user-supplied Cat5e/6 cabling.
