The Cisco 7600 SIP-400 helps enable high-performance, intelligent wide- and metropolitan-area network (WAN/MAN) services. Enterprises and service providers can take full advantage of the increased scalability, performance, and rich features offered by the Cisco 7600 SIP-400, along with the many options for WAN aggregation and connectivity offered in the SPA/SIP portfolio. The Cisco 7600 SIP-400 accepts up to four Cisco SPAs, including GE, OC-48 ATM, OC-12 ATM, OC-3 ATM, OC-12 Packet over SONET/SDH (POS), and OC3 POS, for MAN & WAN connectivity.

The Cisco 7604 Router is a compact, high-performance router designed in a 4-slot form factor for deployment at the network edge, where robust performance and IP/Multi-protocol Label Switching (MPLS) services are necessary to meet the requirements of both enterprises and service providers. It enables Carrier Ethernet service providers to deploy an advanced network infrastructure that supports a range of IP video and triple-play (voice, video, and data) system applications in both the residential and business services markets. The Cisco 7604 also delivers WAN and metropolitan-area network (MAN) networking solutions at the enterprise edge.

The Cisco® 7600 Series Ethernet Services Plus Extended Transport (ES Plus XT) line cards allow service prioritization for voice, video, data, and wireless mobility services and can connect to LAN, WAN, and Optical Transport Network Physical Layer (OTN PHY) interfaces. Service providers and enterprises benefit from the efficiency gains in power consumption, improved economics from higher density, as well as advanced Carrier Ethernet features, which can be transported using G.709 and Forward Error Correction (FEC) across dense wavelength-division multiplexing (DWDM) networks, enabling optical links to span greater distances.
