The ToughArmor RAID MB902SPR-B is a ruggedized full metal dual bay removable drive enclosure that supports 2 x 2.5" SATA hard drive or SSD in a single optical 5.25" drive bay of your computer/workstation system. With the built-in hardware RAID 1 chipset and easy to read RAID status LED indicators, you can conveniently mirror the 2.5" drives for data redundancy without adding a RAID card or RAID monitoring software on the host end. In addition, Central Process Unit (CPU) is normally required to calculate a RAID but, alternatively, by having a RAID chipset on the enclosure, it frees up the CPU overhead and speeds up the whole system. Therefore MB902SPR-B is a perfect removable drive enclosure for mission-critical computer systems that not only make your system work faster but also provides protection against your critical data.

Built-In RAID 1 (Safe Mode)

With the built-in JMS562 hardware RAID chipset, you can create a 2.5" SSD/HDD RAID 1 array in any system without using a RAID controller card. The ToughArmor RAID MB902SRP-B automatically mirrors two 2.5" SATA HDD/SSD for data redundancy to prevent system downtime caused by a single hard drive failure.

Advanced RAID Status LED Indicators

The ToughArmor RAID MB902SPR-B is equipped with easy to read RAID status LED indicators for users to understand the current drive status without using a RAID monitoring software. However, if your application requires using a RAID monitoring software, it is available to download and install on Windows/Mac computers.

Removable Drive Trays

The MB902SPR-B features full metal removable EZ-Slide drive trays found throughout the ToughArmor Series, allowing users to install or remove 5-15mm height drives without opening the computer case or powering off the computer.

ICY DOCK's EZConvert MB703M2P-B is a complete solution to convert any M.2 SATA SSD into the exact dimensions and port locations as a standard 2.5" hard drive or SSD (9.5mm height). Designed for compatibility, it accepts all M.2 sizes from 30mm to 80mm in length, mounting them without screws or tools, and allows these drives to be installed anywhere that accepts a bare 2.5" drive, such as a hot-swap bay, 2.5" mounting bracket, or in any of ICY DOCK's 2.5" drive enclosures. MB703M2P-B protects the delicate circuit board of your M.2 SSDs from bumps and drops.

Enable Hot-Swap

Because M.2 SSDs are not designed to be hot-swapped, their connectors are very delicate, typically rated for only 250 insertion/removal cycles. When used with the EZConvert MB703M2P-B, M.2 SATA SSDs can be hot-swapped without putting any wear on the internal connector, instead using ICY DOCK's strong hot-swap connector rated for 10,000 insertion/removal cycles. Hot-swap makes it easy to add, remove, and replace drives without the need to restart the system.

Perfect Compatibility

EZConvert MB703M2P-B accepts any 30mm-80mm M.2 SATA SSD and gives it the exact same dimensions, port locations, and screw-hole locations as a standard 9.5mm 2.5" SSD.

The 1-piece lid has a sturdy EZ-press latch, to stand up to frequent drive swaps. Simply press the latch in to open the lid, revealing the drive bay for easy installation, removal, or drive replacement.

The adjustable M.2 locker slides to accommodate all standard M.2 SATA SSD lengths, including 2230 (30mm), 2242 (42mm), 2260 (60mm), and 2280 (80mm). The locker clips into the SSDs screw hole to secure the drive without the need for screws or tools.

Because the MB703M2P-B uses the standardized 2.5" form factor, it can be installed into any 2.5" backplane or hot-swap bay, such as our flexiDOCK, ExpressCage, or ToughArmor models. This lets you expand the capabilities of your existing 2.5" devices by adding M.2 SATA SSD support to them.

ICY DOCK's EZConvert MB703M2P-B not only allows you to convert M.2 SATA drives into a 2.5" drive form factor, but also, when used in combination with an aftermarket SATA to USB 3.1 adapter cable (not included), you can easily convert the MB703M2P-B into an external M.2 SATA drive to take your data on the go.

Built to Last

MB703M2P-B's body and lid each use a 1-peice design, constructed from a single piece of strong ABS plastic, to strengthen the enclosure and give your drive a physical layer of protection against drops and bumps. One-piece construction is preferred over multiple pieces, as the connection between two pieces creates a weak point that is prone to failure.

The lid and body have ventilation holes amply placed throughout the enclosure, working with your computer's cooling system to cool the drive and protect it from overheating damage, which can lead to data loss.
ICY DOCK's EZConvert MB703M2P-B was specifically designed to provide maximum cooling efficiency to prevent speed throttling on SATA M.2 drives. Air vent holes sit right underneath the SATA M.2 drive, giving the drive enough air flow while doing intensive reads and writes. Moreover, to allow more air circulation, these air venting holes can be removed physically to reveal a cutout, allowing users to install M.2 drive heatsinks or simply leave it open for an increased cooling effect.

Introducing the Icy Dock MB994SP-4SB-1 Full Metal Quad Bay 2.5" SATA 6Gbps backplane for use in a single 5.25" device bay. The MB994SP-4SB-1 is predicated off the incredibly popular MB994SP-4S, while taking its general concept but, with a SATA only interface and adding the fan power switch. In addition, there is only one 4 pin power connector that will reduce the amount of cables required. The MB994SP-4SB-1 allows for many more users to use this backplane in their homes with the reduced cost. The dual 40mm cooling fans to in addition to the power switch for the fans allow for the best flexibility - Turn off when using SSD's and on when using mechanical SATA hard drives. Furthermore, this device utilizes Active Power Technology, so that the device only power up if there are drives installed.

Slimmed Down Design

The MB153SP-B has been redesigned to be a lighter module, while maintaining the same level of quality, build, and service you'd expect from an Icy Dock product. While the design has gone through some changes, the space saving design is still established. The backplane module allows up to 3 x 3.5" SATA III hard drives, while only consuming two 5.25" bays. The module has also been redesigned for the type of power connector accepted. 15 pin SATA power is used to provide better accessibility for various host systems.

The MB987M2P-1B is equipped with drive activity LED indicator that shows the drive power and activity. The LED is automatically powered off when no drive is installed to save power.

The optional 2-pin drive activity signal output (cable not included) allows you to transfer the drive activity signal to the front panel of the computer to monitor the drive activity.

Built-In RAID 1 & JBOD

The FatCage RAID MB901SPR-B R1 features removable EZ-Tray drive trays, allowing the user to install or remove drives without opening the computer case or powering off the computer. The EZ-Tray supports both 2.5" SSD/HDD and 3.5" hard disk drive and is compatible with FatCage and DataCage enclosures, including DataCage MB876SK-B (1x Drive), FatCage MB153SP-B (3x Drive), and MB155SP-B (5x Drive). This allows you to continue using the same drive trays from these enclosures and exchange drives between systems without unmounting the drive from the tray.
