The SR42UB features a massive front-to rear-ventilation capacity that meets or exceeds server manufacturer requirements. Its integrated baying tabs make it easy to combine multiple enclosures in rows for data center applications. This enclosure is also compatible with hot-aisle/cold-aisle configurations. The SR42UB houses 3000 lb of standard 19-inch rack equipment in 42U. Its front and rear pairs of vertical rails have square mounting holes that are adjustable in quarter-inch increments from 4 to 42 inches. Each rack space within the enclosure is numbered for ready reference. With its locking, reversible, removable front and rear doors, and locking, removable side panels, the SR42UB provides ultimate equipment safety. The side panels are half size for ease of removal and reinstallation. The split rear door design allows the enclosure to be placed closer to a wall. The SR42UB meets all requirements toward PCI DSS compliance.

Tripp Lite's SR42UBCL Multi compartment enclosure allows two different users 20U spaces each all in the same footprint of a standard enclosure. Each compartment has its own front and rear access doors with combo locks as standard. There is a divider panel within the rack that separates the two compartments. This allows the facility manager to have access to each compartment, but each compartment has a unique combo code. All features from the standard SmartRacks carry over to these colo racks. In fact, they are all built off the same platform to allow cross usage of accessories. Meets all enclosure requirements towards PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) Compliance.

Extra-Deep Server Cabinet Accommodates 42U of Standard-Width Rack Equipment

Designed for network wiring closets, retail locations, classrooms, back offices and other areas with essential rack-mount IT equipment, this SmartRack® 42U rack enclosure is 48 inches (1219 millimeters) deep. This allows high-density equipment installations, extra space for cable management, and room for removing hot-swap power supplies from the rear of mounted devices. Constructed from heavy-duty steel with a durable black powder-coated finish, the SR42UBDP48 has a maximum stationary load capacity of 3000 pounds (1361 kilograms) and a maximum rolling load capacity of 2250 pounds (1021 kilograms).

The reversible front door, split rear doors and half-size side panels lock securely to help prevent damage, tampering or theft. The vented doors allow generous airflow from front to rear to keep your equipment cool and functioning at its peak.

Easy Enclosure Deployment and Equipment Installation

This 42U server rack comes fully assembled for quick and easy deployment with pre-installed casters that let you maneuver it over a level, smooth, stable surface and through a standard seven-foot doorway into position, where it can be stabilized by adjusting the levelers. Four mounting rails adjust in quarter-inch increments from four to 42 inches. Two rails also support toolless 0U mounting for quick installation of up to four compatible PDUs and vertical cable managers to help cut down on clutter.

Designed for Baying Multiple Enclosures in a Row

Built-in baying brackets and removable side panels allow the combination of two or more rack cabinets in a row. Center-to-center width can be set at 24 inches (600 millimeters) to match standard data-center floor tiles.

Meets Payment Card Industry Standards

The SR42UBDP48 provides physical equipment and media security required for PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliance. This is essential for companies that process, store and/or transmit credit card information.

A DEEP and WIDE version of our standard 42U SmartRack. The SR42UBDPWD enclosure is 1200mm deep (47.25") compared to the standard 1070mm deep (42"). This extra depth allows for high density equipment installations. It allows extra space for moving the cable management back as well as providing space for mounted equipment that has hot-swap, removable power supplies out the back of the enclosure. It is also 750mm wide (29.5") compared to the standard 600mm wide (23.6"). This extra width allows for high density equipment installations. It allows cable management and PDU mounting off to the sides of the rack in order to keep these items out of the airflow for proper cooling. All features from the standard SmartRacks carry over to these wide racks to allow cross usage of accessories. The SmartRack 42U NEMA 12 (IP54) Standard-Depth Rack Enclosure Cabinet protects sensitive electronic equipment from harsh conditions that would overwhelm a typical rack enclosure, including falling dirt, dust, drips and splashes. It is ideal for use in factories, construction areas, utility plants, warehouses and other areas high in moisture, dust and debris. The enclosure has a NEMA 12 protection rating, which is equivalent to IP54. That means it can protect your equipment from falling dirt, dust, drips, splashes and accidental contact with personnel. The front and rear doors have ventilating louvers instead of open mesh. They also have a sealing gasket around the door frames. On the front door there are built-in dust filters. The filters are removable and they can be replaced with standard furnace filters - they're simple, inexpensive and effective. To compensate for the added air resistance of the filters, there are 12 large, high performance fans to the rear door. The fans pull air through the enclosure, from front to rear. The roof of the enclosure is sealed with a cap that keeps drips and falling dirt from getting inside the enclosure. Since the doors and top are sealed, cable access is provided through 6 cable ports - 2 in the roof, 2 below the rear door, and 2 in the unit floor. They allow cables to pass through, but they block the area around the cables maintaining the NEMA 12 protection. The enclosure may be subjected to extreme vibrations and movements produced by vehicles and machinery. The heavy-duty steel frame supports up to 3000 pounds. The large-diameter industrial casters also support up to 3000 pounds, which means you can move the enclosure fully loaded. This is useful where you can install all your equipment in a clean environment, close the enclosure and wheel it to the dirty environment with all your equipment already protected. After the enclosure is in place, the levelers allow you to compensate for minor floor variations and make sure everything is stable. If you need to build a data center in the middle of your factory floor, you can do it with this enclosure. It's perfect for locations like factories, power stations, construction areas, shipping facilities, warehouses, processing plants, transport hubs and anywhere you need to protect equipment in a harsh working environment.
