The FlexPoint Powered Chassis is a 19" rack-mount chassis that houses up to 14 standalone FlexPoint media converter modules. The redundant power supplies are essential where reliability is important, and in mission-critical applications to ensure continuous operation.

Both of the universal AC or DC power supplies are hot-swappable and can be used in any combination. In case of a failure, a power supply can be hot-replaced while the second power supply supports the operation of the chassis.

The power control logic of the Powered Chassis provides loadsharing between the power supplies, increasing reliability and operational lifetime. The control logic provides power monitoring and an LED display for each supply in order to assist in status monitoring, rapid fault-isolation and network management.

The 14-Module Powered Chassis supports any combination of FlexPoint media converter modules which are individually secured and hot-swappable to ensure continuous operation.

FlexPoint modules can be mounted utilizing optional wallmounting hardware or with DIN-rail mounting brackets. They can also be rack-mounted in a 5-Module shelf or in a high-density 14-Module, power-redundant Powered Chassis.

The 2U (3.5 inch) high iConverter 19-Module Chassis has triple-redundant power supplies and can be mounted in a 19-inch or 23-inch rack. It is designed for Enterprise Local Area Network (LAN) and Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) applications where fault tolerance and a high-density rack footprint are essential.

The iConverter Cable Management Kit* organizes the routing of fiber and copper cables providing a secure, clean and orderly installation. The Cable Management Kit is used with the iConverter 19 and 5 Module Chassis and is capable of routing dozens of fiber and copper cables.

The Cable Management Kit Includes Two Extended Mounting Brackets And A Hinged Cable Management Tray With Cable Clips. The Extended Mounting Brackets Are Used To Recess The Chassis Two Inches Back In The Rack Or Cabinet. The Hinged Cable Management Tray Attaches To The Front Of The Rack And Provides An Organized Method For Routing Cables To Each Module In The Chassis. The Cable Management Tray Accommodates For Minimum Fiber Bend Radius To Each Installed Module. The Cable Management Tray'S Unique Hinge Design Allows The Tray To Swing Down For Easy Module Insertion And Extraction And System Maintenance.

The 19-Module Chassis features three hot-swappable, redundant power supplies. Universal AC, 24VDC and 48VDC power supplies can be used in any combination. Omnitron's exclusive triple-redundant power supplies operate in load-sharing mode to reduce the burden on each power supply to extend the lifetime and fault tolerance.
