Fast and Accurate AF

Many autofocus lenses have a trade-off: they use multiple moving elements to reduce aberration, but their focusing speed slows down as a result.

With a 25mm focal length and 47 degree angle of view, this lens sits right between wide and telephoto designs, making it a great choice as an all-around lens for your photography. A fast f1.8 circular aperture delivers beautifully soft defocused backgrounds for impressive portraits or when subject emphasis is the desired photographic effect. An inner focusing mechanism assures fast and accurate auto-focusing, and because it is an MSC design, it offers nearly silent focusing operation - a great feature when shooting HD movies.

An extremely portable 3X Electronic Zoom lens that will compliment the compact design of any PEN or OM-D body. Less than 1 inch thick and packed with the latest in lens technology, this lens features an MSC focusing mechanism for near silent focusing, a circular aperture unit and no less than 8 lens elements in 7 groups including on ED and one HR lens element. The Electronic Retraction feature automatically extends and retracts the lens when the camera is powered on/off. And the two-step variable Electronic Zoom mechanism delivers smooth consistent zooming control especially desirable when shooting HD movies. An Automatic opening protective lens cap is optionally available.

Ideal for getting extra close to your subjects beyond your lens's capability. The MC-14's splashproof, dustproof and freezeproof all metal construction is compatible with the M.Zuiko ED 40-150mm f2.8 PRO and will also be compatible with the M.Zuiko ED 300mm f4.0 PRO (Available in 2015).

By placing this teleconverter between the camera body and lens, you can increase the magnification of your subject up to 0.6x (equiv. 35mm) and extend the focal length by a factor of 1.4x (40% more reach). When coupled with the M.Zuiko ED 40-150mm f2.8 PRO lens, a maximum focal length of 210mm (420mm equiv. 35mm) can be achieved. Macro shooting is possible at a working distance of 20 inches (50 cm).

When using a 1.4x teleconverter, you lose 1 stop of light, so for example, when using an f2.8 lens, the widest aperture you can use the lens at is f4.0.
