LTE 4G applications demand high speed data uplink and downlink. High efficiency and high gain MIMO antennas are necessary to achieve the required signal to noise ratio and throughput required to solve these challenges. Taoglas also takes care to have high isolation between the two MIMO antennas to prevent self-interference. Low loss cables are used to keep efficiency high over long cable lengths. In contrast, smaller MIMO antennas with poorer quality thinner cables will have much reduced efficiency and isolation, which would lead to a large drop in system throughput, increased number of drops, and may indeed not make a system connection at all.

17-in-1 combination antenna

The Taoglas MA9917.A Guardian X has been designed to combine a high number of antenna combinations in one enclosure. The MA9917.A is a 17-in-1 combination antenna that combines all 17 antenna elements in one low-profile heavy-duty, IP67 rated waterproof, wall mount external enclosure. The MA9917.A comes with 1* Active GPS/GLONASS/Galileo, 8* 5G/4G Cellular MIMO (600-6000MHz), 8* Wi-Fi 6 MIMO (2.4/5.1-7.125GHz) as standard. The MA9917.A has been designed as a low profile solution for IoT and Automotive applications where space is at a premium.

This is an ideal external combination antenna solution that is used where drilling a hole through the roof of a vehicle or a metal panel for an external antenna is not feasible.

The MA9917 also operates at Band 71, the newly established 5G band at 600MHz.

The OMB.6912.03F21 is a 4G fiberglass omnidirectional outdoor antenna, operating in the worldwide 4G 698-960 and 1710-2700MHz bands and has 4.5 dBi maximum gain. The collinear dipole array antenna is designed especially for outdoor applications connecting via 4G routers and modules. Its compact dimensions of 320mm in length and 70mm diameter allow it to be mounted conveniently and unobtrusively in any location, compared to traditional fiberglass omni antennas which are twice the size.

The omnidirectional antenna radiates uniformly in the azimuth providing long distance coverage, thus minimizing the number of nodes needed for a radio network.

The UV resistant fiberglass housing enables this OMB series antenna to be used in harsh weather environments, making it more robust and safer than traditional whip antennas. The main band of operation is between 698MHz to 2170MHz; however, it can also be used for shorter range 2600MHz applications.

The antenna can be mounted on a wall via the convenient pre-installed mounting bracket or on a pole with the additional supplied U-bolt. An industry standard N-type Female connector is used. The compact TG.08 with hinged rotatable SMA connector, is an impressively high efficiency monopole antenna, which provides wide coverage among cellular and GNSS frequencies.

With its cellular and GNSS function, plus compact design, TG.08 can fit and function perfectly with routers, vehicle tracking devices, telematics devices, and remote monitoring systems. It is also ideal for use with cellular modules with Assisted GPS functionality that can be implemented in various devices.

This 72mm long monopole antenna works efficiently from 700MHz to 2700MHz, widely covering 4G/3G/2G bands, as well as GPS/GLONASS/Galileo /BeiDou. At its maximum efficiency when connected to ground plane, it can achieve 73% and 67% at GPS and LTE bands, respectively.

As all monopole antennas, TG.08 works best while connecting directly to the ground-plane of the device main-board, or with the device's metal enclosure.

It's robust brass hinge enables TG.08 to be oriented in all directions, allowing users to maximize performance with minimum effort. The Fakra connector gives additional mechanical robustness over a traditional SMA connector since it locks securely with its mate and will not come loose due to vibrations or impacts.

This 72mm long monopole antenna has good efficiency in the 700MHz to 2700MHz range, covering the 2G/3G/4G bands, as well as GPS/GLONASS/BEIDOU. When connected to a ground plane, it can achieve up to 75% efficiency at GPS and LTE bands.
