The ToughArmor MB924IP-B supports 24 x 2.5" SAS/SATA SSD/HDD up to 7mm in height and only uses 3 x 5.25" device bays. It has 6 x MiniSAS HD (SFF-8643) connectors in the rear to support 24 x drives with up to 12Gbps transfer speed per drive, significantly reducing the cable clutter to improve system airflow and offer easy cable management. The large 80mm fan with 3-Mode fan speed control working along with intelligently placed ventilation holes keeps your drives in optimal temperature. To further improve reliability and security, the housing and trays are made with ruggedized full metal construction to ensure long-lasting durability. Powering up 24 x drives at once can accumulate excessive heat. Therefore, we have strategically placed a large 80mm cooling fan in the rear to provide airflow throughout the cage. With 3-Mode fan speed control (H, L, and OFF), users have the flexibility to change the speed depending on the workflow and preferences. For further expandability, the stock fan can be easily replaced with most aftermarket 80mm cooling fans, giving your preferred fan options for improved cooling performance or quieter operation. For most of the applications, drive status light is an important feature to monitor drive's activity. Each drive LED's brightness can be adjusted 100%, 50% or 0% per user's preference.

The EZ-Slide Mini tray accepts most of the 2.5" SATA HDD / SSD on the market ranging from 5mm to 15mm drive height. The drive tray slot is designed to complement a variety ToughArmor drive trays, allowing users to easily access their hard drives or SSD used in internal ToughArmor units externally, anytime and anywhere. The USB 3.0 interface allows for blazing fast transfer speeds and is backward compatible with USB 2.0 interface to insure compatibility with many systems. Introducing the MB994IKO-B, a rugged full metal dual bay 2.5" SATA/SAS hard drive / SSD mobile rack backplane designed with a Slim Optical Disk Drive (ODD) slot for use in a single external 5.25" bay. It is a device designed with a rugged full metal build commercially designed for: Medical & Military systems, Media servers, IPCs, HTPC, and All-In-One computers, approved & used by Tier 1 companies. Dual 4-pin power connectors are used to ensure secured and consistent power supply to both drives and ODD, whether they are low power consumption 2.5" SATA SSD's or power hungry 15000 RPM 2.5" SAS drives. The Slim ODD slot uses our EZ-ODD Tray made of rugged full metal, and is easily removable by use of the provided key or via a side latch. This allows system integrators more freedom to better meet their potential client's needs. The EZ-ODD Tray is compatible with any standard Slim Optical Disk Drive with 12.7mm height.

The MB994IKO-3SB utilizes our EZ Slide Mini Trays, making drive interchangeability and maintenance completely hassle free. The trays are built using rugged full metal so that they are durable for many lifetimes, while will not weigh you down when transporting your data from system to system. Also featuring a full cage design, the added top drive cover provides added layer of protection while moving the drive. The 2.5" HDD trays are designed to accommodate 5mm, 7mm, 9.5mm, 12.5mm & 15mm 2.5" SAS/ SATA SSD/HDD drives, giving you excellent control of your 2.5" hot swap backplane.

Fan control further allows the potential system to be accommodated properly depending on the hard drives used. If a SSD is used, fan can be left off and shut off the noise completely from the MB994IKO-3SB. Otherwise, the fan is a great asset to assist in cooling mission critical hard drives.

ToughArmor MB996SK-6SB features a strong 40mm user-adjustable cooling fan with high, low, and off settings, easily configurable for different environments whether you need high heat dissipation or silent operation. While ventilation holes on the tray work with the cooling fan for maximum ejection of heat. The heat dissipation properties inherent to the metal chassis further assists cooling.

Active Power Technology (APT) allows each LED and the cooling fan to be active only when a hard drive is inserted into the same bay of the enclosure.

The EZ-Slide Micro with Metal Lock trays makes driver interchangeability and maintenance completely hassle free. The Eagle Hook latching mechanisms works together with the metal key-lock mechanism to securely hold drives and prevent unauthorized access, protecting your sensitive data.
