The ToughArmor MB699VP-B V3 is a Ruggedized Quad Bay Removable U.2/U.3 NVMe SSD Enclosure supporting PCIe 4.0 and fetching up to 64Gb/s data transfer rates through OCuLink (SFF-8612) interface. It is made out of heavy-duty full-metal construction and equipped with removable U.2/U.3 drive trays that simplify the time-consuming drive installation/removal process for easy drive maintenance. In addition, the MB699VP-B V3 uses dual 40x20mm cooling fans to keep the high-speed U.2/U.3 SSD at optimal temperatures and let you adjust the fan speed through the 3-speed fan control located in the rear of the enclosure.

Now Compatible with Tri-Mode Controllers

To unlock the full potential of the PCIe 4.0 U.2/U.3 NVMe SSD, each drive bay uses a dedicated OCuLink (SFF-8612) connector to achieve the bandwidth rate of 64Gb/s, which is two times faster than PCIe 3.0 and 10 times faster than SATA standards. Removable Drive Tray Design

Typically, NVMe U.2/U.3 SSDs are installed inside the computer case, which can be tough to reach when it requires maintenance. With the ToughArmor MB699VP-B V3, your drives are brought to the frontal 5.25" optical drive bay, where the U.2/U.3 SSDs can be easily accessed, making drive maintenance more efficient and straightforward process. The removable drive trays support any standard U.2/U.3 SSD from 5mm to 15mm drive height.

Maximizing Cooling Performance

Built-in with the dual 40x20mm cooling fans, the heat generates by U.2/U.3 SSD is further dispersed through the intelligently place ventilation holes throughout the entire enclosure. The dual cooling fans come with three fan speed settings: High, Low, and off. The user can choose the appropriate fan speed option to keep the drives at optimal operating temperatures.

EMI Grounding Technology

Grounding your drives are essential as swapping drives without the proper grounding may lead to hardware damage due to static shocks. With our innovative EMI Grounding Technology, once the drive is screwed onto the drive tray, the drive will be in a constant grounded state throughout the tray, housing, and computer system to ensure your drives are protected from static electrical surges safe during swapping.

Designed for compatibility, it accepts all M.2 sizes from 30mm to 80mm (2230 / 2242 / 2260 / 2280) in length, mounting them without screws or tools, and allows these drives to be installed anywhere that accepts a bare 2.5-inch NVMe drive, such as an U.2 backplane, hot-swap bay, 2.5" mounting bracket, or in ICY DOCK's U.2 NVMe removable enclosures/mobile racks. Enable Hot-Swap

Because M.2 SSDs are not designed to be hot-swapped, their connectors are very delicate, typically rated for only 250 insertion/removal cycles. When used with the EZConvert MB705M2P-B, M.2 PCIe NVMe SSDs can be hot-swapped without putting any wear on the internal connector, instead using ICY DOCK's strong hot-swap connector rated for 10,000 insertion/removal cycles. Perfect Compatibility

EZConvert MB705M2P-B accepts any 30mm-80mm M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD (2230 / 2242 / 2260 / 2280) and gives it the exact same dimensions, port locations, and screw-hole locations as a standard 9.5mm U.2 NVMe SSD.

The 1-piece heat sink lid snaps on and off without screws or tools, revealing the drive bay for easy installation, removal, and replacement in only seconds.

The adjustable M.2 locker slides to accommodate all standard M.2 PCie NVMe SSD drive lengths, including 2230 (30mm), 2242 (42mm), 2260 (60mm), and 2280 (80mm). Packed with Features

The dual-function full-metal lid protects delicate M.2 SSDs from bumps and drops. The aluminum lid also acts as a heat sink to keep NVMe drives at safe temperatures, even under heavy load.

The included thermal paste sticker can be attached on to the underside of the full-metal lid for increased heat dissipation.

For additional cooling performance, the bottom air vent can be cut out to make room for an M.2 heat sink, or for additional air flow.

Multifunctional Detachable ODD Faceplate

The MB732SPO-B comes with a multifunctional detachable faceplate for the CD-ROM/DVD/Blu-Ray ODD slot. When no disc reader is installed, or when using an ultra-slim (9.5mm) disc reader, the faceplate becomes a protective front dust cover, protecting your internal components from overheating due to accumulated dust blocking ventilation holes. The faceplate can be easily hidden and stored inside of the enclosure with a specially design housing spot for the faceplate.

To install a slim ODD (12.7mm height), simply insert your slim ODD into the MB732SPO-B and secure the device with included screws. The Multifunctional ODD bay faceplate can also be used as a spacer when a thinner ultra slim ODD (9.5mm height) is installed.

Packed with Features

Each of MB732SPO-B's drive bays has its own indicator light to notify you of any drive activity, preventing drive damage by alerting you when your drive is in use. A blue LED is easily visible, without casting too much light and straining your eyes.

Each drive bay has its own power switch, saving power when not in use. Because you don't have to physically remove the drive, using the power switch protects the internal connectors from wear and erosion of their protective coatings.

The ExpressCage MB732SPO-B supports both 7-pin SATA and 15-pin SATA power cables with locking latches, so you'll never need to worry about cables unintentionally disconnecting from your enclosure. Once these cables are connected, they'll lock into place and stay that way.

Innovative ExpressTray Design

The ExpressCage MB732SPO-B uses an intelligently engineered tray design that requires no tools or screws. Built-in pegs insert into the screw holes of your drive to provide a secure hold in seconds, saving you time over traditional trays needing a screwdriver.

When additional security is required, such as when transporting drives outside of the enclosure, the included screws can be used to further secure drives and prevent them from falling out in transit.
