Support for 15mm hard drives means enterprise SAS drives and high capacity drives are fully supported, which are used in applications requiring long-term reliable and fast data storage for archival and backup purposes. Two Mini-SAS HD connectors are used to connect all 8 drives, greatly reducing cable clutter over traditional SATA ports and improving reliability due to the interference reducing EMI shielding built into Mini-SAS HD cables. To further improve reliability and security, MB508SP-B uses a ruggedized full-metal construction meeting flammability requirements, as well as a large 80mm user-adjustable cooling fan to protect against drive failure from overheating.

Easily Hot Swappable

Designed for applications where regular drive swap may be required, the MB508SP-B EZ slide mini drive trays are hot-swappable, to allow for drives to be added and replaced easily, without restarting the whole machine. Hot-swap allows failed drives to be replaced in seconds, without any costly downtime to the rest of the system. To ensure a long life, the internal SAS/SATA connectors are rated to support up to 10,000 swapping cycles in each bay.

Highly Compatible EZ Slide Tray System

The EZ slide mini tray system supports full-height 2.5" mechanical hard drives and solid state drives, including high capacity SATA and SAS drives. SAS drives are used in enterprise applications such as long-term archival for their long lifespan, higher reliability, and faster rotational speeds up to 15,000 RPM for fast data access. All SAS drives are supported, including Seagate Exos, HGST Ultrastar C series, and Dell, HPE, and Toshiba SAS drives.

ToughArmor series trays are designed for maximum interoperability; the trays on MB508SP-B can be used with many other ToughArmor models, including the MB991 series and the MB994 series. This means drives can easily be transported and used in other systems, without having to reattach drives to another tray.

For drive security, the eagle-hook lock system on the tray makes sure your hard drives will not eject when not needed.

Featuring a large, powerful 80mm fan with high, low, and off settings that is designed to remove as much heat as possible from your drives rapidly. The fan works together with ventilation holes amply placed throughout the enclosure, ensuring drives run only at their optimal temperatures.

Introducing the Icy Dock MB994SP-4S Quad Bay 2.5" SATA/SAS Mobile Rack for use in a single 5.25" device bay. This product is constructed of heavy duty metal to hold up in the toughest of conditions. It includes ventilation slots on the front & back for maximum airflow to keep both SATA and SAS drives running cool, and an LED is placed on the front of each drive tray to give the user drive status at all times. Dual 4-pin power connectors are used to ensure a consistent power supply to all 4 drives, whether they are low power SSD's or power hungry 15000 RPM SAS drives. Also included are dual 40mm cooling fans to keep the drives running in at optimal temperatures in even the most intense applications.

The MB516SP-B features a rugged heavy duty full-metal housing designed to meet high IOPS requirement which are generally found in Enterprise environments, Military systems, Medical systems, high performance computing and industrial settings.

To maximize its storage density and compatibility, the MB516SP-B supports 16 x 5mm to 7mm 2.5" SATA / SAS SSD or Hard disk drive, and only uses two standard external 5.25" computer bays (DVD-ROM bays).

It works well in advanced RAID configurations, due to its use of 4x Mini-SAS HD (SFF-8643) connectors, and can be controlled by a single RAID card. The user replaceable 80mm cooling fan is placed directly at the center of the rear panel, providing equivalent airflow throughout the entire cage. Depending on your needs, you may need the fan to be at a higher speed, or completely off for silent operation, and so a 3-Mode Fan Speed Control has been added to flexible in various situations.

The ToughArmor MB516SP-B has LED status lights built-in to each tray, giving you current status information for each drive. Active Power Technology (APT) allows each LED to only be on when a drive is inserted, and shuts down the fan automatically when all drives are removed. Once installed, the flexiDOCK MB521SP-B supports 1 x 2.5" SAS/SATA HDD/SSD drives ranging from 5mm to 15mm in height. It also supports SATA 6Gbps transfer speeds and hot-swap functionality, using your drives to their full extent has never been easier.

Different by Design

When working with multiple drives, constantly swapping between drive caddies / trays can slow your workflow to a crawl. That's why we've taken trays and doors completely out of the equation with our new flexiDOCK MB521SP-B. Our new system allows drives to be inserted in seconds and sit flush with the computer's front panel, reducing clutter and protecting your drives from environmental hazards. When a drive is inserted into flexiDOCK, an eject button is revealed along with a LED drive activity light. To eject your drive, simply press the eject button back in and your drive will pop out. You can also turn off drive's power anytime by switching the front accessible power slide switch.
