Power Supplies

The Extension Power Supply unit is used in combination with a CCU to supply extra power to the DCN network.

Functions

Controls and Indicators

• "Power on" LED indicator
• Three indicators to indicate DCN outlet overload (red LEDs)

Interconnections

• Euro-mains socket with built-in fuse holder, mains cable 1.7 m (66.9 in) included
• 2 m (78.7 in) DCN cable with molded six-pole circular connector
• Six-pole circular socket for loop-through connection to the DCN network
• Three DCN outlet sockets for connection of units, plus extension power supplies. Each socket is protected against short-circuit (3 x six-pole circular sockets)

The Altronix AL400UL-PD4R Fire Power Supply converts a 115 V, 60 Hz input to either 4 A of continuous supply current at 12 VDC or 3 A of continuous supply current at 24 VDC. The supply current is distributed through four fuse-protected, Class 2 Rated, power-limited outputs.

Battery Considerations
The power supply accommodates up to two 12 VDC, 7 Ah standby batteries and automatically switches to battery power if AC input power fails. When batteries are not used, a loss of AC power results in a loss of output voltage. When batteries are used, they must be lead-acid or gel type.

Mounting Considerations
Mount indoors in areas protected from rain or moisture.

Wiring Considerations
Use 14 AWG (ISO 2.5 mm2 ) or larger wiring for all power connections (battery, DC output, AC input). Use 22 AWG to 18 AWG (ISO 0.34 mm2 to 0.75 mm2 ) wiring for power limited connections (AC fail, low battery reporting).

Bosch offers a series of stand-alone power supply units that provide VAC power to AUTODOME 7100i cameras for applications without PoE. Each unit has a cover door that provides IP66/NEMA 4X ingress protection and meets power and electrical safety requirements in extreme environmental conditions. The unique design and the IK10 rating protect the power supply units from vandalism and tampering events.

These units can be mounted directly to a wall or other flat surface. Optional pole and corner mounting accessories are also available, allowing you to tailor your AUTODOME installation to your specific requirements. Multiple cable gland/conduit entry points protect cables and simplify installation. The NDA-U-PSU0 does not have a transformer (for direct 24 VAC power input).
