Intel Smart Response Technology

Transcend's SATA III 6Gb/s MTS800 M.2 SSD supports Intel® Smart Response Technology (ISRT), which allows you to configure your computer system with an SSD used as cache memory between the hard disk drive and system memory. This provides the advantage of having a hard disk drive for maximum storage capacity with SSD-like overall system performance.

ISRT works by monitoring which programs and files you access most frequently and storing them on the SSD. As a result, application launch speed and overall system responsiveness are significantly improved, while space on your large-capacity hard drive is freed up for other programs and files. In this configuration, only one drive letter is displayed; no additional drive letter is required for the SSD used as cache.

The SSD370 maximizes notebook battery life when not in use thanks to the full support of SATA Device Sleep Mode (DevSleep). DevSleep ultra low power state conserves more battery power than current power saving features such as standby mode by shutting down the SATA interface completely. SSD Scope allows you to monitor SSD370 health status with S.M.A.R.T. technology, enable the TRIM command in the operating system to help maintain optimum write speeds, and conveniently update SSD firmware, all from a single user-friendly tool.
