What is the HDR-8?8-XT

The HDR-8?8-XT is an 8?8 matrix switch enhanced with HDBaseT technology. Users can send eight ultra-HD video sources to eight local displays over HDMI, as well as eight remote displays over CAT5e/6/7 cables up to 328 ft away when paired with receiver units (supports HDX-POE and HDX-POE-PRO*, each sold separately).

Doubling as a transmitter extension unit, the HDR-8?8-XT sends 4K (3840?2160) resolution video further that standard matrix units and effectively cuts costs by utilizing inexpensive CAT5e/6/7 cabling. It also routes internet to remote smart TVs over HDBaseT and power to connected receivers through POE (Power-over-Ethernet).

Users can easily control the HDR-8?8-XT using:

• Front Panel Buttons which offer intuitive signal switching capabilities directly from the unit itself.
• RS-232 commands from devices that are connected to the unit.
• IR Remote Control for signal switching and receiver control.
• TCP/IP Web Console, which offers powerful visual tools for users remotely interacting with the unit from a PC.

With the HDR-8x8-Plus, users can independently route eight video inputs to eight displays using the latest in 4K (3840x2160 @30Hz) HDMI video technology. The HDR-8x8-Plus has eight outputs that offer the flexibility to distribute HD audio and video signals across multiple displays, eliminating the tedium of disconnecting and reconnecting HDMIs to a single display. Controlling the matrix switch is simple with the front-panel buttons, the included infrared remote control and the RS-232 port. Even use the TCP/ IP controls to manage the unit from a web browser. The HDR 16x16 conforms to the HDMI 1.4 standard and provides a connection to view any sixteen HDMI video sources on any combination of sixteen video displays. The matrix configuration provides maximum flexibility, allowing switching between any high-definition source and/or display. The HDR 16x16 provides HDMI output up to 40 feet with HDTV resolutions of 480p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p. The system works with Blu-ray players, TiVo systems, HT PCs and satellite set-top boxes that connect to an HDMI display.

Users can switch to any source locally or remotely via a RS-232, IR, USB or TCP/IP connection. Our HDMI router is controlled by Windows®-based software that is easy to understand and simple to use - a cornerstone of all SmartAVI products.

DVS4P 1x4 DVI Video Splitter allows you to use a single PC to display identical images on multiple monitors. Automatic EDID learning fo the support of any DVI monitor. The function to display identical images on more monitors, is an attachment of another splitter. Connect the DVI male/female extension cable between the former splitter of the "DVI out 1" port and the latter splitter of the "video in" port for cascading.
