The ZyXEL GS1100 Series consists of four unmanaged switches: the GS1100-8HP, GS1100-16, GS1100-24 and GS1100-24E. The GS1100-16 and GS1100-24E feature 16 and 24 GbE ports. The GS1100-24 is a 24-port Gigabit switch with 2 additional open Gigabit SFP slots, while the GS1100-8HP is an 8-port Gigabit switch that complies with the IEEE 802.3at Power over Ethernet (PoE) Plus standard, providing 4 PoE ports with up to 30 watts per port.

IGMP Snooping for optimized traffic delivery

Based on the IGMP (Internet Group Management Protocol) query and report messages, the switch forwards traffic only to the ports that request the multicast traffic rather than to all ports. It helps to optimize multicast performance and is especially useful for bandwidth-intensive IP multicast applications such as online media streaming and gaming.

VLAN segregation for enhanced network security

VLAN (virtual local area network) can be used to separate traffic within a business such as isolating resources between network administrators and general users or between employees and public guest users.

PoE support

Web GUI management enables you to monitor power status of each port and/or to reboot the network devices.
