The ComNet™ FVT/FVR40A4 series video/audio multiplexer utilizes 10-bit video encoding for true EIA/TIA RS-250C Short-Haul broadcast quality transmission, and 24-bit encoding at a 96 Khz sampling rate for the highest possible audio fidelity. Digitally encoded transmission ensures that the video and audio performance remain completely unaffected up to the maximum usable optical transmission distance or optical path loss. These environmentally hardened units provide the transmission of four independent simplex video and four independent simplex line-level audio channels over one multimode or single mode optical fiber. The FVT/FVR40A4 series is completely transparent to and universally compatible with any NTSC, PAL, or SECAM camera system. Plug-and-play design ensures ease of installation, and no electrical or optical adjustments are ever required.

The ComNet™ FVT1C1B-M Video Transmitter supports transmission of one analog video signal and a single simplex contact closure over one multimode or single mode optical fiber. The contact closure channel may be used with triggered-event CCTV camera systems, or other applications such as access controlled gates, doors, or other equipment requiring remote actuation and control. This module is universally compatible with all major CCTV camera manufacturers. Housed in a compact, rugged, and lightweight package, this surface/shelf-mount unit is ideal for those installations where space may be limited, and may be DIN-rail mounted by the addition of ComNet DINBKT2 Adaptor Plate Kit. The redundant Point-to-Point topology using the dual optical ports provide fail safe operation in the event of loss of one fiber. Each optical port uses wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) to both transmit and receive on one optical fiber. Microprocessor-based logic sends the contact information in packets that are ordered and encoded, ensuring extremely robust transmission. Packets that are garbled, packets out of sequence, and transmission bit errors will not cause random changes of state on the contact relays. Also, the mechanical latching relays maintain their state even when the unit loses power. The data channel supports RS232, RS422 and 2 wire and 4 wire RS485.
