The ComNet CNGE2MC is a single (1) channel Ethernet converter from electrical to optical and optical to electrical. The CNGE22MC is a two (2) CHANNEL Ethernet converter in a single package. These devices accept a 10/100 or 1000 Mbps (Megabits Per Second) electrical input and converts this to a 1000 Mbps (1Gbs) optical output and the 1 Gbs optical input back to the 10/100/1000 Mbps electrical output. This conversion is call "Auto-Negotiating" and is automatically performed by the electronics. These devices use either one or two optical fibers, depending upon the specific optical module used. The optical module is called a Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP) and typically uses a ComNet SFP-6 module. The LED (light emitting diode) indicators display that the Optical Link is connected and that there is Data activity on the channel.

The ComNet™ CNGE2MCPOEM Ethernet 2 port media converter is designed to transmit and receive 10/100/1000 Mbps data over optical fiber through user selectable SFP options. The CNGE2MCPOEM transmits and receives a single channel of Ethernet data. It also supports IEEE 802.3at Class 1 - 4 as power sourcing equipment (PSE) with up to 30 Watts of operating power to the remote powered device. It requires the ordering of sold-separately interchangeable SFP modules for fiber type, distance and connectors. Its electrical interface will Auto-Negotiate to a 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps or 1000 Mbps Ethernet rate without any adjustments. The optical interface operates at 1000 Mbps. The CNGE2MCPOEM is environmentally hardened to operate in extreme temperatures. LED indicators are provided for confirming equipment operating status.

The ComNet™ CNGE3FE7MS2 Managed Ethernet Switch provides robust transmission of (7) 10/100 BASE-TX and (3) 10/100/1000TX or 100/1000FX combo ports, of gigabit Ethernet data. Unlike most Ethernet switches, these environmentally hardened units are designed for direct deployment in difficult out-of-plant or roadside operating environments, and are available for use with either conventional CAT-5e copper or optical transmission media. Diverse media selection allows for easy implementation of point-to-point, linear add-drop, drop-and-repeat, star, or true self-healing ring and mesh network system architectures. The 7 electrical ports support the 10/100 Mbps Ethernet IEEE 802.3 protocol, and auto-negotiating and auto-MDI/MDIX features are provided for simplicity and ease of installation. 3 ports are 10/100/1000 configurable for copper or fiber media for use with multimode or single mode optical fiber, selected by optional SFP modules. These network managed layer 2 switches are optically (100/1000 BASE-FX) and electrically compatible with any IEEE 802.3 compliant Ethernet devices. Plug-and-play design ensures ease of installation, and no electrical or optical adjustments are ever required. The CNGE3FE7MS2 incorporates LED indicators for monitoring the operating status of the managed switch and network. These units are DIN-rail or wall mountable.

The ComNet CNGE3FE7MS3 Managed Ethernet Switch provides robust transmission of seven (7) 10/100BASE-T(X) and three (3) 10/100/1000T(X) or 100/1000FX combo ports, of gigabit Ethernet data. It is available for use with either conventional CAT-5e copper or optical transmission media. The ComNet CNGE3FE8MS[POE][HO] has three 100/1000Base-FX SFP* ports and eight 10/100Base-TX ports. Two of the SFP ports support 2.5 Gbps SFPs for high speed communication in bandwidth intensive applications. All SFP ports utilize ComNet SFP modules for fiber and connector type and distance. The IEEE802.3-compliant unit offers multiple Ethernet redundancy protocols (MSTP/RSTP/STP/ERPS (G.8032)) which protect your applications from network interruptions or temporary malfunctions by redirecting transmission within the network. The switch provides advanced IP-based management that can limit the maximum bandwidth for each connected IP device, allowing the user to adjust usage. Two models are available which supply Power over Ethernet (PoE). The CNGE3FE8MSPOE model provides eight electrical ports supporting up to thirty watts of power. On the CNGE3FE8MSPOEHO model, four of the eight PoE ports can support up to sixty watts of PoE power. All PoE ports are IEEE802.3at compliant.
