The ComNet RLMC Series is a substation-rated and industrially hardened Ethernet media converter. Designed to the requirements of IEC 61850-3, IEEE 1613 Class 2, EN50155, and NEMA TS-1/TS-2, it is intended for deployment in environments where high levels of electromagnetic noise and interference (EMI) and severe voltage transients and surges are routinely encountered, such as electrical utility substations and switchyards, heavy manufacturing facilities, trackside and roadside electronic equipment, and other difficult out-of-plant applications. The DIP-switch-selectable 100BASE-FX or 1000BASE-FX port supports optical transmission media with selection of the appropriate ComNet SFP module. User-selectable link fault pass-through provides remote indication of a network fault, and a summary fault alarm provides a local or remote indication via a dry contact closure in the event of loss of optical link or operating power. The 10/100/1000BASE-TX port supports both auto-negotiation and automatic MDI/MDI-X crossover for full and half-duplex operation; manual MDI/MDI-X switching is not required.

The internal/self-contained 12 to 24 VDC or 48 VDC power supply features redundant power inputs for the highest possible reliability. A high voltage AC/DC option is also available. The simple to install, plug-and-play RLMCSFP is DIN-rail or panel-mountable, and is ideal for mission-critical applications where very high levels of reliability and network availability are of the utmost importance.

ComNet product series RL1000GW are substation-rated and industrially hardened layer 3 router/ gateways, with a unique and highly robust packet processing SCADA-aware security firewall for the most mission-critical and demanding cyber-security applications. The RL1000GW is intended for deployment in environments where high levels of electromagnetic noise and interference (EMI) and severe voltage transients and surges are routinely encountered, such as electrical utility substations and switchyards, heavy manufacturing facilities, trackside electronic equipment, and other difficult out-of-plant installations. Layer 3 routing functionality allows for the participation and foundation of a core network infrastructure. The compact-sized DIN-rail mountable RL1000GW is ideally suited to those installations and applications where space may be limited. These features make the RL1000GW an effective platform for deploying a secure communications and networking gateway for remote electrical utility sites, and other critical infrastructure applications.

Designed to the requirements of IEC 61850-3, IEEE 1613 Class 2, EN50155, and NEMA TS-1/TS-2, it is intended for deployment in environments where high levels of electromagnetic noise and interference (EMI) and severe voltage transients and surges are routinely encountered, such as electrical utility substations and switchyards, heavy manufacturing facilities, trackside and roadside electronic equipment, and other difficult out-of-plant applications. The ComNet selection of MSA Compliant Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) modules allows for an optical or electrical interface when using a ComNet managed switch, unmanaged switch or media converter. These interchangeable SFP modules are available for use with copper media, multimode optical fiber, or single mode optical fiber. The optical fiber SFP modules are available in Fast Ethernet one and two fiber versions and Gigabit Ethernet one and two fiber versions. They also are available with LC or SC optical connectors. The ComNet SFP modules offer different wavelengths and optical power budget to allow distances from 300 meters to 120 kilometers. These SFP modules are industrially rated to perform in the most difficult operating environments.
A ComNet SFP interface is required for use with all ComNet SFP configurable products to qualify for the ComNet Lifetime Warranty.
