  • Allied Telesis UMC2000/LC-901 Transceiver/Media Converter - 1 x LC Ports - USB - Multi-mode - 0 mil Fiber - Gigabit Ethernet - 1000Base-SX - 0.50 km - USB - Desktop - TAA Compliant

The current standard USB connector is USB Type-A. Even as the world has moved from USB 1 to USB 2 and on to modern USB 3 devices, that connector has stayed the same. Since it only plugs in one way, it has always been necessary to make sure it is correctly oriented before plugging in.

However, with USB-C, both ends of the cable are the same, allowing for reversible plug orientation. It can also be plugged in upside down as it will function both ways.

The time of differently-shaped connectors for differently-sized devices is coming to a close. USB Type-C is a new connector standard, and it is very small-about one third the size of the old USB Type-A plug.

The UMC200/2000 series comes with two types of USB cables, allowing for use with older USB-A and the new USB-C products.

    Extended network
UMC200/2000 Series converters are ideal for extending a fast Ethernet or Gigabit network. The series is designed to be a mobile system to extend the distance of a network by utilizing a USB-A or USB-C port with connectivity to fiber-optic cabling. The UMC200/2000 series features a USB (Type A or C) port and a fiber-optic port with either an SC, ST or LC connector, depending on the model.

    VLAN support
Many new backbone switch products now support the industry-standard IEEE 802.1Q specification for Virtual LANs (VLANs), which send extra-long data packets on the network.

Some media converters don't support this feature and discard extra-long packets-but UMC200/2000 converters are fully compatible with these long packets, making them the perfect solution for today's modern networks.

    Small and flexible
The small size and external power of the UMC200/2000 Series allows them to be used almost anywhere.

The UMC Series comes with two types of USB cables, allowing for use with older USB-A and the new USB-C products.

    Extended network

UMC Series converters are ideal for extending a fast Ethernet or Gigabit network. The series is designed to be a mobile system to extend the distance of a network by utilizing a USB-A or USB-C port with connectivity to fiberoptic cabling. The UMC Series features a USB port (Type A or C) and either a fixed fiber port (SC, ST or LC) or an SFP port which is capable of accepting a 100MB or 1000MB SFP.

    VLAN support

Many new backbone switch products now support the industry-standard IEEE 802.1Q specification for Virtual LANs (VLANs), which send extra-long data packets on the network.

Some media converters don't support this feature and discard extralong packets-but UMC200/2000 converters are fully compatible with these long packets, making them the perfect solution for today's modern networks.

    Small and flexible

The small size and external power of the UMC Series allows them to be used almost anywhere.

  • Allied Telesis VST-APL-06 Ethernet Switch - 6 Ports - Manageable - Gigabit Ethernet - 10/100/1000Base-T - 2 Layer Supported - 120 W Power Consumption - Twisted Pair - Rack-mountable

The Vista Manager Network Appliance (VST-APL) delivers state-of-theart network automation, with integrated monitoring and management. Combining powerful applications for automating network management and security, and providing visibility with actionable reporting, reduces administration effort, complexity and cost.

    Seamless network management
The Vista Manager Network Appliance (VST-APL) seamlessly integrates the tools for effortless management. Autonomous Management Framework (AMF) and Autonomous Wave Control (AWC) centralize management and automatically optimize all wired and wireless network devices, while the SNMP plug-in supports third party devices. AMF Security (AMF-Sec) ensures a self-defending network. Vista Manager is a single-pane-of-glass interface to the entire AMF, AWC, SNMP, and AMF-Sec network. VST-APL brilliantly combines these tools in a powerful yet simple management solution.

    Flexible deployment
The VST-APL ships with Vista Manager enabled. Add capability and capacity with subscription-based licenses for AMF-Cloud, AWC plug-in, SNMP plug-in, and AMF-Security automation and management tools:

    Vista Manager
Vista Manager provides a single-pane-of-glass interface to the entire network. The dashboard includes network details and status, event information, and a topology map.

Critical issues, such as internal security threats, link tampering, network loops, environmental alarms, and failed nodes, are highlighted on the network map and in the event log so they can be easily dealt with. A syslog server shows informative messages from network nodes, while asset management enables firmware and configuration backup and upgrade of one, many, or all devices.

The integrated SD-WAN orchestrator automatically optimizes inter-branch connections for secure application delivery.

The Allied Telesis Intent-based Orchestrator (AIO) makes management easy. Simple graphical input enables creation of new inter-branch VPN connections, prioritizing and shaping application traffic over the WAN, steering application traffic to the cloud, and managing security at multiple locations. Effortlessly enable the network to support your business.

    AMF Cloud
AMF Cloud centralizes management of switches, firewalls, and routers across the network - whether local or remote. In addition, powerful features like auto-backup, auto-recovery, auto-provisioning, and auto-upgrade provide zero-touch administration for truly plug-and-play networking. AMF reduces the time and skill required to maintain the network and ensures a stable environment by preventing human error.
