Tripp Lite's B072-032-IP2-K KVM Switch is the optimal solution for controlling up to 32 computers/servers locally, from across the room, down the street or around the globe on a network or the Internet.This KVM switch can be accessed and controlled remotely, so there's no need to travel to the server room or network closet. A Java-based application allows access via web browser from any secure IP connection; a non-browser client that can bypass browser-related Java Security prompts is available. The B072-032-IP2-K uses inexpensive, user-supplied Cat5e/6/6a cabling with Server Interface Units (16 included) so you can connect computers/servers located up to 100 ft. away from the switch. This switch features dual Ethernet ports and dual power supplies; if one fails, the other takes over, keeping access uninterrupted. Switch easily between the 32 ports using an on-screen display (OSD), hotkey commands or a remote toolbar. Multi-level password protection prohibits unauthorized users from accessing connected computers, and a local user and up to two remote users can each log on and access different ports simultaneously.Two serial ports allow control of serial-manageable devices such as IP PDUs, firewalls and routers; individual ports can be assigned to an IP PDU port to power on/off the server connected to that port. This KVM switch is compatible with Windows and Linux operating systems and it supports VGA video resolutions up to 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz. Heavy-duty steel housing stands up to frequent use.Virtual Media allows an.iso file to be mounted to a target server and accessed as if it were stored directly on it. The B078-101-USB-8 is an 8-Pack of Tripp Lite's B078-101-USB-1 NetCommander USB Server Interface Units (SIU). Each SIU connects to the HD15 port and USB port on a computer/server, and converts them to a single RJ45 connector. Ordinary Cat5e patch cables can then be used to connect the server to the switch ports on a Tripp Lite B070 / B072-Series NetCommander Cat5 KVM switch. Use of Cat5e cables frees up space in the installation that would ordinarily be filled by traditional, thicker KVM cables. Tripp Lite's 4-Port VGA/SVGA Video Splitter provides bandwidth support at 350MHZ, allowing simultaneous display of video on up to 4 monitors. In addition, a built-in booster allows a video signal (up to 2048 x 1536 @ 60Hz) to be transmitted up to 210 ft. from the source. Four standard HD15 female ports are used to connect the monitors, while a fifth HD15 male port is used to connect the CPU. The splitter can be located up to 25 ft. from the connected computer, and up to 185 ft. from the connected monitors. The number of connected monitors can be expanded by cascading up to 3 levels of splitters together.
