The SM-DVN-84X is a dedicated multi-platform KVM Switch capable of managing up to 8 different computers through four monitors, USB keyboard and mouse, a set of speakers, and USB devices like printers, memory devices, scanners, etc. With multi-user support, the SM-DVN-84X can accomodate up to 4 users. The video connectors on the unit are DVI-D, which allows support for HDMI using active adapters or cables. When using a DVI or an HDMI monitor, computers can be a mix of either DVI or HDMI.

The SM-DVN-84X supports resolutions of up to 2560x1600 @60Hz with zero pixel loss from TMDS signal correction.

APPLICATION DIAGRAM

The main function of this KVM Switch is to centralize the access of several computer into a single, comprehensive KVM Station. Its USB 2.0 functionality support allows users at the console to access USB devices that would otherwise be unavailable on conventional KVM Switches. For example, it allows the use of a flash memory drive or camera without having to plug it directly into the remote computer. The SM-DVN-84X is a perfect solution for the medical or industrial field where it may not be practical or safe to have on or more CPUs in the general vicinity.

Flexibility is key with the SM-DVN-84X. It enables the use of a USB keyboard and mouse on one computer while other USB peripherals such as speakers, scanners and printers are connected to other computer sources. The SDPN-2D-P allows users to control KVM (Keyboard, Video and Mouse) operation on up to four computers with DisplayPort monitors. It features mechanical, electrical and optical signal isolation to prevent hacking and data leakage in environments where security is paramount. With the SDPN-2D-P, all data relays are controlled by inverted signals, shielding connections from outside intrusion by forcing them each to work one at a time. Each port uses its own isolated data channel and each unit features non-reprogrammable ROM to better protect the switch's functions. By isolating connections between networks, the SDPN-2D-P ensures no data is leaked between secure ports and the outside world. CAC SUPPORT

Many secure KVM switches support CAC devices, such as smart-card and biometric readers, bolstering security when using the device. However, IPGard takes CAC security even further, allowing users to assign specific peripheral devices to the SDPN-2D-P's CAC port. Once a peripheral device has been registered by an authenticated admin, users can then switch the connection between that device and the PC's along with KVM switching.

KEYBOARD AND MOUSE EMULATION

The Secure KVM emulates (simulates) the presence of a keyboard and mouse for every attached computer through a USB cable. Both selected and non-selected computers maintain a constant connection with the unit's keyboard-mouse emulation controllers, allowing for ultra-fast switching and restricting discovery of newly connected peripherals during switching operations. Emulation of keyboard and mouse also prevents direct connection between the peripherals and the connected computers, shielding systems from potential vulnerabilities.

SECURE EDID LEARN AND VIDEO EMULATION

The SDPN-2D-P simulates a generic EDID as default, allowing it to operate most of the connected monitors. Both selected and non-selected computers maintain a constant connection with the unit's video emulation controllers, allowing for ultra-fast switching and restricting discovery of newly connected monitors during switching operations. Upon activating the KVM, the unit will quickly and automatically learn new EDID for specific monitors. The unit then prevents unwanted and unsecure data from getting transmitted through DDC lines by means of secure EDID learning and emulation.

The SM-MST-4Q converts a single DisplayPort 1.2 input signal to four separate HDMI Output connections through advanced MultiStream Transport technology. This allows a user to extend their display and achieve resolutions of up to 4K (3840 x 2160 @ 30 Hz) on each connected monitor from a single DP port.

The SM-MST-4Q is a DisplayPort Standard Version 1.2a compliant device. The SM-MST-4Q can control up to 4 computers with a single DP input connection each, and allows the support of four HDMI outputs in any combination.
