The JBL 4641 is a high quality subwoofer system, featuring a technologically advanced 460 mm (18 in) low frequency transducer mounted in a direct radiator, bass-reflex enclosure for smooth response to the lowest audible frequencies. The 4641 is ideal for low frequency augmentation of either analog or digital soundtracks in motion picture theaters and for general sound reinforcement applications. The 2241H transducer utilizes the patented Vented Gap Cooling (VGC) process, which pumps air through the magnetic gap and directly over and around the voice coil, providing immediate heat transfer and a reduction in operating temperature. This increases power handling while reducing power compression. Through the use of computer-aided magnet optimization and analysis techniques, JBL engineers were able to optimize magnet weight, flux density and field saturation, resulting in a 2.6 kg (6.5 lb) reduction in overall driver weight and a significant reduction in harmonic distortion. This magnet structure offers much of the weight advantage of rare earth magnet structures without the prohibitive cost, enabling the system to carry a 600-watt continuous AES pink noise power rating.Regular Price: $653.03

Professional cinema has seen a dramatic evolution over the past few years - high definition content, digital projection and immersive audio. These amazing technologies have put new demands on cinema loudspeakers never before required. This is particularly true for the surrounds. Once a highly compressed ambience track, surround content today is equal to the screen channels in resolution and dynamics.
Most surrounds are basic loudspeakers, with modest output and simple coverage patterns. They were only used as a large distributed array along the theatre walls. Digital cinema and new audio formats require surrounds to operate in much smaller groupings and even singularly. This now requires surrounds to possess engineered coverage patterns and improved output dynamics. JBL undertook an extensive research effort to first analyze these new requirements and then design a completely new surround loudspeaker, from the ground up, for modern digital formats. The groundbreaking 9300 Series is the result. The horns developed specifically for the 9300 and 9310 have studio quality performance with pattern control tailored to multiplex theatre geometries. Using the latest advancements in acoustic engineering, the 9310 horns map a theatre more consistently and accurately than ever before possible. Integral to the design is a wave shaping vane, which distributes acoustic energy in proper proportion to the room. This technique provides a wavefront that is sculpted to the room geometry and provides very precise mapping capability. This shaping also allows the loudspeaker to orient to the wall naturally while directing the acoustic energy to the seats.
JBL engineers also found that a slight angle in the positioning of the surrounds makes a dramatic difference in how they present themselves to the audience. This is particularly true in stadium seating geometry where the surrounds slope downward with the seating, and yet the horizontal patterns in conventional surround loudspeakers do not. This creates 'hot spots' in the coverage for those rows just above each surround. By mounting the surrounds at a 15° angle toward the screen, the hot spots are eliminated, the overall coverage maps are dramatically improved and those seats in close proximity to a surround have a much improved experience. The 9300 and 9310 provide three mounting planes for easy installation in any geometry. Learn MoreRegular Price: $757.49

JBL Professional 9350 3-way Wall Mountable Speaker - Black - 15" - 50 Hz to 25 kHz - 8 Ohm
Configurable Pattern, Unique 3-Way 15" Design
The 9350 packs a sonic punch, and delivers extraordinary coverage through its advanced engineering, including three patent-pending technologies. Each loudspeaker generates a sculpted side or rear pattern, adjusted with the flick of a switch. With a passive crossover network, waveguide technologies, and line array techniques, coverage can be adjusted to fit a theatre's unique environment. The 9350 further enhances coverage by configurable vertical and horizontal coverage angles based on whether the surround is located on the rear or side wall location.
The result? Premium performance and left/right balance overall, an accomplishment unheard of in cinema. It means the sonic sweet spot just got a whole lot bigger, and that sculpted, impactful sound now comes from all sides. Ultimately, the audience becomes immersed in an audio experience like none other. Rely on the 9350, the ideal complement to front screen loudspeakers, for superior sonic character and dynamics - everywhere.Features
