The Saros ICT5T-22 is a 2 ft x 2 ft ceiling mount loudspeaker designed for multimedia presentation and speech reinforcement in classrooms, meeting spaces, and most indoor distributed sound system applications. It features a coaxial 5 in. two-way driver in a low profile enclosure that's ideal for use in plenum spaces that are packed with preexisting systems and utilities, leaving limited space for ceiling loudspeakers. A built-in 16 W multi-tap transformer allows for use with 70 and 100 V distributed speaker systems. Drop-in simplicity affords fast and easy installation in a typical 2x2 or 2x4 ft suspended ceiling grid with 15/16 in. face profile.

The Saros ICT5T delivers exceptional sound quality with wide dispersion for the greatest area of coverage. The coaxial two-way loudspeaker delivers exceptional intelligibility through the voice band. Announcements will be clear and natural sounding, and will cut through typical background noise in busy environments. Applications requiring music program will deliver full-bodied sound. The high power handling enables the loudspeaker to be mounted into tall suspended ceilings where greater volume levels are required to reach the target SPL for the listeners.

Saros ICT5T speakers are UL® 1480A and UL 2043 listed¹for use in plenum air return spaces. Saros ICT5T speakers are priced individually and sold in pairs.

The Saros PDS8T model is an 8 inch pendant subwoofer designed to provide extended low-frequency response for music and sound reinforcement applications. Power handling is 100 Watts (program) at 8 Ohms, with a tailored frequency response of 45 Hz to 125 Hz (±3 dB) and a usable range down to 35 Hz. A built-in transformer allows for use with 70 and 100 Volt distributed speaker systems.

Its built-in low-pass filter allows the Saros PDS8T to sound great alongside Saros 4, 6, and 8 inch full-range speakers without requiring a separate crossover. Optimum performance and sound quality is achieved using a biamplified sound system such as the Sonnex® Multiroom Audio System ^[1], which can be configured to employ a dedicated subwoofer amplifier channel with active 2-way crossover.

The Saros PDS8T is designed to be suspended from a ceiling truss in an open-ceiling environment. Its clean, contoured enclosure achieves an attractive appearance in restaurants and night clubs, retail spaces, houses of worship, convention facilities, universities, and office buildings. Weatherized construction allows for use in outdoor entertainment venues, patios, and swimming pools. To facilitate installation, a 10 ft (3 m) length of wire rope with attached snap hook is supplied. Securing the wire rope to the truss and adjusting it to the desired length is accomplished quickly and easily using the provided Gripple® self-locking wire rope grip.

To achieve its sleek, sculpted appearance, the Saros PDS8T employs a durable ABS plastic housing and "zero-bezel" frameless grille. Composed of steel, the grille is held in place by powerful magnets, eliminating any visible screws or other hardware. A safety tether is included to prevent the grille from ever presenting a falling hazard. Setting the 70/100V transformer tap is performed via a screwdriver-adjustable control located on the speaker baffle behind the grille.

Wiring connections are provided on the top of the speaker adjacent to the suspension rigging point. Connecting the wiring is facilitated using a detachable screw terminal block with provisions for easy parallel wiring in a multi-speaker application. A weather boot is included to protect the wiring connections from moisture.

The PDS8T is topped off with a top cover, which conceals the wiring connections and suspension hardware for a very clean, contoured appearance. Saros PDS8T speakers are available in white or black, and can be painted to blend with the surrounding architecture. They are priced and sold individually.

The SAROS SMT6T-AW-W-T-EACH is a surface-mountable, all-weather, 2-way speaker featuring a 6 in. (165 mm) IMPP woofer for deep, defined low end. A 1 in. (25 mm) ceramic-coated aluminum tweeter provides crisp highs with consistent coverage across a wide listening area. A built-in 60 Watt multi-tap transformer allows for use with 70 or 100 Volt distributed speaker systems. The power handling is an impressive 110 W (program) with a wide frequency response from 65 Hz to 20 kHz (±3 dB).

The SAROS SMT6T-AW-W-T-EACH features a clean and contoured enclosure with weatherized construction. It can be mounted to most solid flat surfaces using the included brackets and painted to blend with the surrounding architecture. The speaker comes with a rectangular grille, and a preconstruction mounting kit (SPKA-PMK-SMT6T-W-T) is available as an accessory. The preconstruction mounting kit can be purchased prior to receiving the speaker to prepare an installation for speaker and cabling positioning. A safety tether kit (SPKA-ST-15) can also be purchased separately and installed to make the speaker compliant with the UL 2239 standard.

Its zero-bezel frameless grille achieves an unobtrusive and contemporary appearance well-suited for use in restaurants and night clubs, retail spaces, houses of worship, convention facilities, universities, and office buildings. Installing the grille requires no hardware or tools, utilizing powerful magnets to hold it in place. A safety tether is included to firmly secure the grille. Grilles can also be painted to blend with the ceiling surface.

Unitized construction of the speaker enclosure simplifies specification and installation for use in new and existing ceilings. Mounting the speaker is facilitated using rugged, 2-step toggle clamps integrated into the enclosure. Each toggle clamp offers two positions to accommodate standard and extra thick surfaces up to 2.4 in. (61 mm). A tile bridge is included to provide proper support when installed in a typical drop-tile ceiling. The tile bridge is adjustable to enable off-center speaker positioning, and can be folded to fit through the speaker cutout in blind-mount situations. Two rigging points are also provided on the top of the speaker enclosure for securing to the building structure using the optional safety tether kit (SPKA-ST-15 [1]).

An integral metal back can is employed to meet the UL® 2043 requirements for installation in an environmental air-handling (plenum) space. The wiring connection is accessible behind a rear cover panel by removing a single screw. Top and side knockouts are provided on the cover panel to accommodate 0.50 in. (12.7 mm) or 0.75 in. (19.05 mm) flexible conduit. A cable clamp is also provided. Connecting the wiring behind the cover planel is facilitated using a detachable screw terminal block with provisions for easy parallel wiring in a multi-speaker application. Setting the 70V/100V transformer tap is performed via a screwdriver-adjustable control located on the front baffle behind the grille.

The SAROS IC6ULPT-W-T-EACH+ is a 2-way in-ceiling speaker featuring a 4 in. woofer and titanium 1 in. dome tweeter. Its low profile enclosure allows for installation in ceiling spaces as shallow as 2.4 in. (61 mm). A built-in 30 W multi-tap transformer allows for use with 70V and 100V distributed speaker systems. Power handling at 8 Ω is 35 W (program), with a frequency response from 120 Hz to 20 kHz (±3 dB).

A short length of two wire speaker cable extends from the back can of the speaker for a connection back to an amplifier using wire nuts (not included). Setting the 70/100V transformer tap is performed via a screwdriver-adjustable control located on the front baffle, behind the grille. The speaker housing also meets IPX5 ratings for splash resistance.
