The 2-Post Mac Mini rack shelf features a passive ventilation system designed to isolate hot and cold aisles in large data center environments. The shelf's front air intake moves cool air from the front and moves it through the lower chamber on the shelf and to the rear of the rack where it is ventilated out along with the Mac Mini's exhaust.

The shelf's 1/8" steel construction helps give the shelf an impressive 500 lbs (226 kgs) weight capacity and a depth of 28 inches (711 mm). For even heavier equipment, a version with a 900 lb (226 kgs) weight capacity is available. The extra heavy-duty version of this shelf uses stronger front and rear brackets that better spread the load of the shelf. Our heavy-duty rack shelves can be installed into racks with square, round, or threaded holes in EIA standard 2Post relay racks. They are ideal for equipment like large switches, UPSes and more.

The sliding rack mount shelf works with standard mounting depth server racks that have square holes. The design of the 1U Rack Mount Shelf allows airflow from the front of the rack to exhaust directly to the rear of the rack shelf without trapping them in hot air.
