Phone Expansion Modules

The Cisco IP Phone 6800 Key Expansion Module (KEM) extends the capabilities of the Cisco IP Phone 6851 with additional buttons. This module adds 14 physical buttons along with access to 14 additional buttons via the page buttons, for a total of 28 buttons. The KEM supports the Programmable Line Key (PLK) function, but does not support any SIP registrations. Calls may be monitored and answered using the PLK function, but calls may not initiated from the KEM. The 6851 IP phone supports 1 KEM only

Call coverage is a critical capability for administrative assistants and others who must monitor, manage, and cover the status of calls. This capability requires the ability to instantly determine the status of numerous lines beyond the capability of Cisco Unified IP Phone select models.

The Cisco Unified IP Phone Expansion Module 7915 extends the capabilities with additional buttons and an LCD display. With this expansion module, you add 12 physical keys with access to 12 additional keys through the page keys for a total of 24 buttons to the existing buttons. You can use up to two Cisco Unified IP Phone Expansion Module 7915 modules with the Cisco Unified IP Phone select models.

With this expansion module, you add 12 physical keys with access to 12 additional keys through the page keys for a total of 24 buttons to the existing 6 buttons of the Cisco Unified IP Phone 7962G and 7965G (Figure 2) models and the existing 8 buttons of the Cisco Unified IP Phone 7975G. You can use up to two Cisco Unified IP Phone Expansion Module 7916 modules (Figure 3) with the Cisco Unified IP Phone 7962G, 7965G, and 7975G models.
