IOGEAR's 8-Port USB PS/2 Combo HD DisplayPort KVM Kit (GCS1808HDPKITU) includes a combo 8-port KVMP switch that allows you to control and access up to eight (8) HDMI™ or DisplayPort computers from a single USB keyboard, mouse, and an HDMI monitor console. The KVM Kit includes DisplayPort to HDMI adapters and a full set of USB KVM cables to simplify your installation. Experience high definition video resolutions up to 1080p (1920 x 1200) while sharing USB 2.0 peripherals and listening to 2.1 stereo surround sound.

Expanded Peripheral Sharing

The KVM Kit is designed to control up to 512 computers by cascading the IOGEAR 8-Port USB HD Switch (GCS1808H) up to three levels. The built-in USB 2.0 hub allows peripheral sharing between the connected system and administrators can easily broadcast messages, announcements, firmware updates, or notifications to all connected sources.

EDID Support

IOGEAR's Video DynaSync™ technology optimizes the display resolution by reading and remembering the monitor's parameters (EDID) so there is no delay or change in video resolution when switching between, or booting computers.

Simple Switching Methods

Quickly switch between connected computers by manually pressing the front panel pushbuttons, entering hotkey combinations from the keyboard, or via the on-screen display (OSD) system. The KVM's convenient Auto-Scan feature permits automatic scanning and monitoring of activities on all connected devices.

Ultra-High-Speed 8K Home Entertainment and Gaming DisplayPort Cable

The 8K DisplayPort Optical Cable (GDP14AOC20) connects a high-resolution DisplayPort source to a high-resolution display up to 50 ft./15.25m with no external power source. The cable fully supports the DisplayPort 1.4 specification, which provides for up to 32.4 Gbps bandwidth, as well as High Dynamic Range (HDR) video. The 8K DisplayPort Optical Cable can perfectly transmit 8K@60Hz video to distances up to 50 feet or 15.24 meters using optical fiber to replace copper conductors as the high-speed signal transmission medium, without the need for extenders or external power. The cable can deliver up to 8.1Gbps of data to each of the three lanes.

DisplayPort to DVI Adapter

Active vs. Passive Adapter: Which one do I need?

A passive adapter is the most basic type of DisplayPort to HDMI interface adapter available. A passive DisplayPort video adapter allows the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) to communicate with any HDMI monitor that does not support the DisplayPort video output on the computer.

In contrast, IOGEAR's Active DisplayPort to HDMI interface adapter will actively convert the display's HDMI signal into a DisplayPort signal for your GPU to interpret.
