The ComNet series video transmitters and receivers support the transmission of one, two, or four independent short-haul quality 10-bit digital video signals and one, two, or four contact closures in the direction of the video over multimode or single mode optical fibers. This module is universally compatible with major CCTV camera manufacturers. The receivers are compatible with the FVT10C1(M,S)1[/M] series or FVT1(M,S)1/M single channel transmitters. Plug-and-play design ensures ease of installation and no electrical or optical adjustments are ever required.

The ComNet™ FVT/FVR20D2I1C4E environmentally hardened units provide transmission of two independent video channels and two bi-directional data channels. They also provide transmission of one Aiphone™ intercom channel and four contact closure channels with tamper supervision in addition to one 10/100Mbps Ethernet channel. The FVT/FVR20D2I1C4E has dual SFP optical ports to provide a redundant point-to-point fail safe topology in the event of loss of one fiber or one optical module. Plug-and-play design ensures ease of installation and no electrical or optical adjustments are ever required.

The ComNet FVR21/LV dual video receiver detects two independent AM video signals in one module on two independent multimode fiber optic cables. The module is not a multiplexer. The unit incorporates a "Loss of Video" relay for each channel. Upon loss of video signal or optical fiber break, the normally closed relay opens. The module is ideal for CCTV installations and the rack mount version can be used to double the fixed video capacity of the C1 rack for up to 28 independent video channels per card cage. The modules utilize Manual Gain Control.

The ComNet FVR22/LV consists of two independent AM video fiber optic receivers in one module. It uses two independent multimode fiber optic cables to receive two separate signals from two transmitters. The module is not a multiplexer. The unit incorporates a "Loss of Video" relay for each channel. Upon loss of video signal or optical fiber break, the normally closed relay opens. The ComNet FVT/FVR200D8 series video transmitter/data transceiver and video receiver/data transceiver series utilize 10-bit digital encoding and decoding for high-quality video transmission that exceeds the requirements of EIA RS-250C for short-haul video transmission. These environmentally hardened units provide transmission of 20 independent video channels and eight bi-directional data channels over one optical fiber and are ideal for use in unconditioned roadside or out-of-plant installations. These units are completely transparent to and universally compatible with any NTSC, PAL, or SECAM CCTV camera systems, data channels can be set independently for RS232, RS422 and 2 or 4-wire RS485, Sensornet, Bi-phase and Manchester.
