The FLEXIDOME IP starlight 8000i - 4MP X series camera offers a 1/1.8" sensor, starlight X and HDR X technology at 4.1MP resolution. It provides the perfect balance between high resolution and extreme low-light sensitivity with starlight X technology, ensuring highly detailed images even in the most challenging situations.
HDR X enables the camera to capture video with a wide dynamic range across different light levels and without motion artefacts on moving objects. Fast moving objects are easily captured with frame rates of up to 60 frames per second at the same 4.1MP resolution.
The camera's remote commissioning functionality makes sure installation and commissioning can be done in very little time. Using a PC or a mobile device with the Bosch Project Assistant app, you can pan, tilt, roll and zoom (PTRZ) and point the camera to the required field of view with a single click - without ever having to touch the camera or lens.

Full Remote Commissioning
Installing a professional IP video surveillance camera has never been so easy. In fact, as an installer, you'll never want to go back to the old methods of installing cameras again. We've simplified the installation and commissioning stages to such a degree that they can be done in very little time.
With the FLEXIDOME IP starlight 8000i camera's remote commissioning functionality there's no need to go up and down ladders. Using a PC or a mobile device with the Bosch Project Assistant app, you can pan, tilt, roll and zoom (PTRZ) and point the camera to the required field of view with a single click - without ever having to touch the camera or lens. Remote configuration and commissioning can also be done at a later stage once all cameras have been installed. Simply connect to the camera remotely via the network using the Bosch Project Assistant app, the camera's web interface, or the Bosch Configuration Manager.

Fast performance
The 60 frames per second mode provides for optimum performance in fast action scenes that makes sure no critical data is lost and video is captured with excellent detail.

Thermal imager

The thermal imager incorporates the latest un-cooled vanadium oxide microbolometer technology. This high sensitivity thermal imager is equipped with a fixed focal length Athermal lens that balances the field-ofview with maximizing the detection distance. User-adjustable settings for contrast and gain allow operators to optimize the image, ensuring delivery of the highest quality video. In addition, a wide variety of user-selectable thermal color modes are available allowing further optimization of the thermal image. Depending on model mix, QVGA resolution (320 pixels) and VGA resolution (640 pixels) versions are available, with choice of low (<9Hz) or high (30Hz) frame rates.

Visible imager

The 1080p60-capable visible imager has starlight technology and a 30x optical/12x digital zoom lens that provides high-quality images, excellent color performance, and unbeatable low-light sensitivity. Ruggedized design for extreme applications

• Ingress

The camera is environmentally sealed and complies with Type 6P and IP68 standards, when attached to a MIC-DCA or a MIC-WMB. This level of protection eliminates any risk of dust or water ingress, making the camera a perfect choice for use in extreme environments with rain, dust, snow, flying debris, and other challenging conditions. In addition, the MIC camera's ingress protection method does not need periodic maintenance, which is required on cameras with pressurized housings.

20-megapixel multi-directional overviews

Four independent 5-megapixel imagers with separate remote zoom and focus lenses capture very highquality images with a total resolution of 20 megapixels.

Each of the four imagers can be set-up flexibly with 3- axis movement along a circular track. This enables surround coverage, capturing detailed images from every angle for comprehensive video coverage with four separate views from a single IP address.

High Dynamic Range
The camera has High Dynamic Range. This is based on a multiple-exposure process that captures more details in the highlights and in the shadows even in the same scene. The result is that you can easily distinguish objects and features, for example, faces with bright backlight.

The actual dynamic range of the camera is measured using Opto-Electronic Conversion Function (OECF) analysis according to IEC 62676 Part 5. This method is used to provide a standard result which can be used to compare different cameras.

H.265 high-efficiency video encoding

The camera is designed on the most efficient and powerful H.264 and H.265/HEVC encoding platform. The camera is capable of delivering high-quality and high-resolution video with very low network load. With a doubling of encoding efficiency, H.265 has become the new compression standard of choice for IP video surveillance systems.

Two-way audio and built-in microphone

Two-way audio allows the operator to communicate with visitors or intruders via an external audio line input and output. Alternatively, there is an integrated microphone to capture crisp and clear audio. By using the integrated or external microphone, audio detection can be used to generate alarms to alert the security operator quicker and act more proactively. If required by local laws, the microphone can be blocked via a secure license key.

Intelligent Video Analytics

The camera uses the latest generation of Bosch Intelligent Video Analytics (IVA). Specifically designed for the most demanding environments. It is extremely resistant to false triggers caused by challenging environments with snow, wind (moving trees), rain, hail, and water reflections.
